Travel Baseball

Travel baseball provides a great opportunity for children who wish to pursue "rigorous" baseball competition at their age level.
Spots on team rosters are competitive, and not every child who tries-out is guaranteed a spot on the roster.  In addition, the level of time-commitment is considerably higher than in house league (recreational) baseball, and playing time in every game is not guaranteed.  Our travel teams play other such teams at local, regional, and (sometimes) national tournaments.  Navigate the drop-down menu on the left under "Travel Baseball" to see individual team pages.

The goals of our travel baseball program are to instruct our players on the fundamentals of baseball and their proper execution, to teach our players sportsmanship within the guiding principles of our Catholic faith, and to instill in them respect for the game of baseball.  In addition, we want to develop our players to be ready to compete at the next level up from where they currently are.   While winning is important, we measure success based on how our players develop from the beginning of the season compared to the end, and by how much their knowledge of the game has increased.  An additional goal for our 13U and 14U teams is to prepare those players for Illinois High School Association (IHSA)-level play at Peoria Notre Dame High School.

For those who are not interested in pursuing a rigorous travel schedule, we offer recreational teams. Please see our house league page for more information.

Our Coaches
All of our head coaches have experience playing at the high school level, and many have post-high school playing experience in NCAA college baseball and/or Minor League Baseball.  Together with their assistants they form the backbone of our travel program.  They volunteer their time and effort because they love baseball and they love coaching.  We want to be sure that we show the same level of dedication and support to our coaches as they show to our players and our organization.  As part of that effort, we provide a clinic for our coaches, given by high school-level and higher coaches, that covers both fundamental and advanced aspects of baseball as well as other important concepts, such as how to build-up arm strength and how to properly condition players.
